June – An Employment Advisory Firm, a retired Administrative Law Judge for the City of Chicago, and an attorney with over 15 years of experience in employment and personal injury law. Laurie has a wealth of professional and personal experiences, well versed in risk management, and innately a problem solver.
As contradictory as it may sound, Laurie is confident in her ability to bring objectivity, and at the same time a diverse perspective to the workplace roundtable. Her objectivity largely stems from her judgeship, and her minority perspective is a result of lived experiences – both professionally and personally. Being born and raised on the Southside of Chicago created her grit, and is largely responsible for her unique understanding of culture and differing socioeconomic classes in a way that no textbook or courtroom could have ever taught her.
Diversity encompasses differing cultures, generations and socioeconomic classes – and is representative of today’s workforce and customer base. The implementation and enforcement of equitable company policies and procedures creates healthier workplaces, improved work productivity and increased customer satisfaction.
