We like to say that our employer advisory firm was birthed in the courtroom, because indeed that’s where the idea originated. Laurie June Samuels is the founder of L. June – The Employer’s Advisory Firm, a retired Administrative Law Judge for the City of Chicago, and an attorney with over 15 years of experience in employment and personal injury law. Laurie has a wealth of professional and personal experiences, well versed in risk management, and innately a problem solver.
As contradictory as it may sound, Laurie is confident in her ability to bring objectivity, and at the same time a diverse perspective to the workplace roundtable. Her objectivity largely stems from her judgeship, and her minority perspective is a result of lived experiences. Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago created her grit, and is largely responsible for her unique understanding of various cultures and socioeconomic factors in a way that no textbook or courtroom could have ever taught her.
Diversity encompasses a variety of cultures, generations and socioeconomics – and is representative of today’s workforce and customer base. The implementation and enforcement of equitable company policies and procedures creates healthier workplaces, improves work productivity and increases customer satisfaction. Our firm strongly believes that companies need multicultural, multigenerational and socioeconomic perspectives at the table when instituting policies and procedures relating to their workforce and customers.
L. June is committed to assisting employers refine their workplaces policies, minimize employee discord and increase customer satisfaction.
